Dell never test/validates an LCD in a total dark room.
* Laptop FHD 1920x1080 LCD are tested/validated at 150lux ambient lighting (similar to typical office lighting) * Laptop UHD 3840x2160 LCD are tested/validated at 70lux ambient lighting (dimly lit room but not completely dark)
Well I contacted customer service and they will be sending out a replacement unit. Unfortunately the new laptop will take nearly a month to arrive. Anyway, here's a side by side pic in a lit room.
