m17 R4, power adapter
Hello guys,
I have a Alienware m17 R4 laptop with a 210W charger because the original 240W charger failed. The warranty of the device is over. I wanted to see if there is a way to increase the wattage of the device with the help of USB-C? Is it safe to use the adapter and USB-C to power the device at the same time? The 210 watt charger is not enough for the maximum performance.

This forum thread may help, and basically that USB adapter should not be used. You can find higher wattage adapters at Parts-People here.
