m17 R5, Modern Warfare 2
So I have interesting issue. I think it just needs an updated driver supplied by dell/Alienware.
I have the AMD advantage m17 R5 with a 6900hx and the 6850mt GPU.
When I try to load up Modern Warfare 2, it stalls then crashes. But if I go to the AMD website and update the driver from there then the game works.
However, this solution has a notable decrease in battery life. From around 7-8 hours of low usage to only 4 hours of low at low use. I suspect because the driver from AMD doesn't have optimizations for this specific laptop that could only come from Dell.
My question is how soon would an updated graphics driver be available from Dell?

The Modern Warfare 2 system requirements for Windows 11 are included in PC System Requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (activision.com).
The Alienware m17 series has Hybrid Power Design.
