M17x R3, Command Center, Windows 10 Pro
Alienware m17xr3- I .I'm looking for the current version of Command center or FX that will work with Windows 10 pro on my laptop to change keyboard lights. Ive searched but anymore Im getting confused with some of the posts
To keep the story short, I kept having issues with W10 trying to install over W7. I always clicked no thanks but one day at start up it got through & made everything funky. There was a weird connection of this between the power state failure & gpu(intel fighting Nvidia). One day I would turn in on & it would have 7 then other times it would start up with 10.. I asked a PC buddy for help & we ended up putting windows 10 pro on it.(I know people will say not possible but Ive got video of the issues as they happened & have asked repeatedly for any closure to the **bleep** happened)
Im trying now to get whatever program is needed to change my keyboard lights. After attempting things awhile back, I finally called Alienware & no one could give me a straight answer. One guy said I couldn't anymore since I have w10/pro but honestly he seemed like he was guessing & didn't want to help me at all.
Is there no way to get a command center or the FX program to change my lighting?? Any links to the correct version I would need would be extremely appreciated. TIA

You have the AW17XR3 or the AW17R3?

Windows 10 is not supported on that system. You can try this Command Center version for Windows 10 or this for Windows 7, but we can not guarantee that it will work.

I got it to download & work but im not sure which version. I also had a strange event after download. I was using the online diagnostic tool & it was working but once I downloaded the command center, it started saying it does not support my system(online diagnostic) and my old restore points have disappeared. Would Command Center have done this? The only thing I have left is an image saved to a usb back when it was working 100% but its not showing during a restore & wont boot when using f12
