m18, charging port
I’ve read multiple comments & discussion regarding how the charging port for the m18 is overly loose causing issues. After a year of similar issues with mine it completely stopped working. I paid almost $300 for the premium support but today when I called requesting assistance, the first thing I was told is this is due to weare & tear resulting in I would be responsible for a $15 part. No questions on how it happened or what caused it. Immediately said this isn’t a common occurrence nor is it a result form a defect.

Just had the same thing happen for a second time the first incident they covered. This time around I was told that was an exception. I have had the laptop for 4 months and on the second power port replacement. I have worked with laptops Dell and IT for over 20 years. I know when damage is due to user vice equipment. Have the premium service but this was ruled as damage caused by user. It was not! <Soliciting other users to act is a violation as defined by Dell. Read the Forum Code of Conduct. DELL-Admin>. I am so disappointed as I thought this was a quality product and company.
