Saving times out

I work with very large files. When I try to save the one I'm working on to the PC I get 'The cloud operation was not completed before the time-out period expired. [Error 0x800701AA]'. Any work arounds?

Yes on my previous PC I was just saving to the laptop and backing up to an external drive, so the internet wasn't even wanted.  UPDATE: someone from Dell accessed the setup remotely and fixed things. Apparently there was a Cloud issue so things weren't backing up there (we changed it so I can back up to the PC). Also there was a mapping issue with the Wacom tablet I use so I had to separate the screens instead of being able to have the same windows operating on both screens like I did on the old laptop.

Thanks for your suggestions! That's a cute dog photo.

Unless the problem occurs when saving the file locally, it's likely a network issue - -  what type of Internet connection do you have?  That is, fiber sync, or one of the async like cable or ADSL?

@ejn63 Thanks for replying. It's wi-fi. I have images backed up in an external drive which open okay but wish to have them saved in the new PC too. PC just has files in Cloud at present.

Wifi internally perhaps - but what type of connection does the wifi router have to the Internet.  Note that unless it's fiber or a LAN connection, it may be an asynchronous connection.  Cable internet and home ADSL is aynchronous - it's fast down but much more restricted up.

And Wifi isn't usually the optimal way to transfer large files, particularly if it's a shared connection.

Can you connect directly to your router by cable?
