I checked the compatible list of cards and the RX 580 is listed there. Can you tell me if the XFX RX 580 Black Edition 8gb is compatible? I got one because it said RX 580 is compatible but I am just getting a black screen when it boots up, nothing else.

The
AMD Radeon RX 580 has not been validated by us, so we can not tell you if it works or not with the amplifier.On the other hand, you don't need to use switchable graphics for the amplifier to run with the AMD Radeon RX 580.
If you want to check which VC is being used, you can download GPU-Z, the app must recognized the AMD card and there you can check the usage.
