Unstable Battery Charging Problems

Hello friends.
I have Alienware M17R2. The performance of the computer works very well when the adapter is plugged into the computer, but I see that it continues to charge the battery after I remove it from the adapter.
Until I turn off my computer, it shows "charging" even though the adapter is not plugged in.
I unplug the adapter, turn off my computer, turn my computer back on, plug the adapter back in, it continues charging.
When I remove the adapter, I see the icon showing that it is still charging. How can I solve this? Thank you.
