x14 R1, face unlock not working
Alienware x14
Only a few months old, face unlock worked perfectly until one day it didn't. For some reason the red blinking lights that normally show up don't anymore. When trying to set up windows hello all it says is "make sure your face is centered in the frame.", no red lights, nothing. Could this be a hardware issue?
I've done the following:
- updated windows
- updated bios
- reinstalled all camera drivers
- reinstalled windows hello face unlock
- restarted numerous times
- used the dell diagnostics tool (said nothing was wrong)
- used the windows troubleshooting tool (said my Bluetooth icon was showing!?)
- tried to set up windows hello (does nothing)

I tried and it still doesn't work. Same issue where it constantly says to "make sure your face is centered in the frame.", still no red lights, still broken.

go into Device Manager, delete the two web cameras, then reboot. This appears to force Windows to re-capture the face recognition data and makes it work again.

also tried this many times and it also doesn't work.
I've gotten to the point where it will recognize my face but the ir camera still doesn't seem to be working. I can set up the face unlock but the ir camera doesn't seem to turn on and it doesn't recognize me no matter how many times I try and improve recognition.

I don't see anywhere that you said you cleaned the lens?
