X14 R1, left hinge doesn't close all the way

I would advise calling Dell tech support as down the road the hinge could become a major problem. You have 30 days to request a refund or replacement unit.

Please visit your online Dell account and create Service Request to 'officially' say Alienware x14 arrived damaged and request Reject option. Remember to say which option to select. Full refund gives you time to think about what you want to do. Your first year basic Dell warranty is still active with (new or refurbished) system replacement option. You must wait for Dell to collect system. 

You can click on Get Help Now icon on the screen, or click on @DELL-Cares to send Private Message requesting assistance. Remember to retain record of your interactions. 

It could be a bent hinge or screen but it also your battery may be expanded and warping the laptop. An expanded battery is bad as it indicates a battery failure and it can actually pry the laptop case apart. If you cannot tell then please take it to a computer shop to have it checked.
