x15, actual build time?

I ordered a custom x15 Alienware, and I'm wondering REALISTICALLY how long it is going to take to arrive.  My order was placed July 29th, 2021, with an original delivery date of August 27th, 2021.  As soon as August 27th rolled around (and the order was still only listed as confirmed), I received a notification that the order has been delayed until September 15th, 2021, but, it had "entered production" conveniently on the date that I was supposed to originally receive it.  Does "In production" actually mean that they've started building it, or is it just a guise to make it seem like the order is advancing, but, still awaiting parts?  Tomorrow will be the 10th day in production.

I understand there are supply chain issues, but, transparency would be nice.  Imagine sitting at a restaurant and hearing your food has been delayed, but, them just selecting an arbitrary time it will be arriving.  Hearing what the issue is, and a real estimate on when it will arrive would be what actual customer service is.  I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll receive another "delayed" notification in a week.  

Could someone provide an accurate estimate, timeframe, or a little insight on to how long this is actually going to take without trying to fluff me?
