x15 R1, touchpad help!

Question

Hi guys,

I just bought this laptop today and the touchpad is driving me nuts! I updated all the firmware, both Windows, Alien/Dell , everything! The touchpad is horrible. Sometimes it just jumps around, it doesn't feel right. Sometimes its fast, sometimes its slow, sometimes it jumps around, what gives? Any suggestions?

Please visit your online Dell account to create Service Request, to tell Dell that there is a fault to fix. Alternatively, within the first 30 days you have option to Reject this Alienware X15 R1 laptop. Dell Refund policy, New vs Refurbished - Dell Community Clearly state in your Service Request your Reject remedy, new replacement system or full refund. The Dell warranty will start again after full refund and purchase of a different Dell system.

Im just going to return it, its gotta be defective. for a 2k laptop I shouldnt be worried about the stupid track pad. Its dumb .Sometimes it just freezes if it detects my other finger at the bottom left of the trackpad, never had this issue with any other laptop in my > 45 years of living. Thanks
