x17 R1, mute button placement problem
My microphone mute button on my Alienware x17 R1 is right next to the sound controls. I am forced to constantly use Discord and so there are 10 places where I can accidentally mute the microphone, making another one I constantly accidentally trip on...annoying. Sharpkeys can't detect the button, so I can't use that to disconnect it that way. Is there any way to disable this button?

Mute is a function of audio. So logically Alienware placed the Mute microphone and Mute speakers above the Volume keys. It would not have made sense to move one audio function key elsewhere? The Enter key is larger so should not be a problem missing it. Are you saying it is common to use keys END and DEL in Discord?

And it is right next to the backspace key too. Backspace is something I use on occasion while typing. When dealing with a tetchy program I don't want another point source failure for my microphone when I am constantly troubleshooting why the audio went out *this* time.

I'm saying it has and never will be used on purpose and has blindsided me several times. I am saying discord is a piece of junk and has at least 5 fail points where it can cut off my microphone without any notification, and I don't need or want the sixth.
I want the button dead without using an ice pick or water damage. The why is unimportant. The result is not.
