x17 R1, screen goes black randomly

This problem just started to happen, out of the blue. My screen is going black for a few second intervals, back to normal, and repeat. I went to the device manager and uninstalled both under 'Display Adapters' and as soon as I uninstall 'Intel (R) UHD Graphics' the problem goes away. I'm safe to restart once more to reinstall the drivers, but if I do it again then the problem comes back. A new driver for Intel must not be compatible for my system, but it automatically installs. I don't know if I should disable UHD graphics or not, at this point. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Please try Intel® Driver & Support Assistant. This will identify the system's products and get driver and software updates for most of the Intel hardware.
