x17 R2, keyboard issues

Who is has a broken keyboard that requires you to ship the laptop to Dell in order for it to be resolved? I saw some other folks who had the motherboard replaced and the issue of the keyboard came back. Did Dell issue a recall or will it? It's really sad because I discovered the issue right after my warranty expired. I always use an external keyboard so I didn't catch the issue while under warranty. A disappointed long time customer!
