does dedup exists between replication nodes
say i have two standalone avamar server, and i backup one file to both avamar. then i create replication relation between them, my question is, since the file already exists in both side, so avamar will only transfer little data to peer, is my understanding correct?
in another words, does dedup occured during replication?

Normally replication does dedup between nodes, so unless there is some extenuating circumstance they are incorrect.
What was the SR number for that and I will follow up.

Efficient Data Transfers.
Replication is accomplished by way of highly
efficient, asynchronous Internet Protocol (IP) data transfers, which can be
scheduled during off-peak hours to make optimum use of network bandwidth.
Additionally, like other members of the Avamar product family, replication uses
sophisticated data deduplication technology that finds and eliminates redundant
sequences of data before it is sent to the destination server, thereby reducing
network traffic and promoting efficient use of hard disk storage.

From page 316 of 4.1 System Admin Manual Rev A02.
The only exeption I can think of off hand is that if you are doing root to root replication and it is completly new data the first time it comes across it will move all the data, as it is not aware of it. But this is normal behaviour, once you have moved it to a grid and to the same datastructure on that Avamar grid it should only move changes across the network.
