NS80 Max Capacity

Hi,

I would like to know whats the maximum capacity NS80 supprots with 4 Datamovers running Dart 5.6.44 with CX380 Backend. CX380 docs says it can support up to 480 disks.

Also whats the Capacity limit per Datamover on NS80 with FC disk and ATA disks.

I would like to see the documentation. The latest Celerra Networker Server release 5.6.47.11 does not show the details of NS80.

Thanks in advance.

yes - with the 480 disks in a CX3-80 you would have to use at least 1TB disks to get close though

Thanks for the quick response. 128TB for a Datamover and 128TB*3 for 3 active Datamovers =384TB total for the entire box?

same as for NS-G8 - 128 TB per data mover in terms of NAS capacity (including checkpoints)

no matter whether FC or SATA (that was done away with the last capicity increase)

I'm not sure why the release notes dont list the NS80 but its clearly written in our EMC internal NAS support matrix

just keep in mind there are other limits like the number of file systems and checkpoints
