This error normally indicates a bad network / connection. If the problem persists, please open a support case.

Thanks Graham.

But i couldn't get the deleted clip ids. Futile effort on 'Deleted clip ids' using JCASScript.

I have been trying for the past 3 days - always getting the same error - I'm sure that No network error - It's fine - because my application is able to store and retrive contents from Centera.  The JCASScript flagging error ONLY on deleted clip ids retrievals. Anyone able to get the deleted clip ids. ?!!

Even we have engaged EMC CS for enumeration and content verification. They are doing their job. I'm able to supply only 'EXISTING' type, hope it has deleted clips ids also. What to do. ?

Thanks, Vasu.

Hi Vasu - I am able to get Deleted clips without any problem using JCAS or the Query samples (SDK and XAM). I suggest you let CS continue their investigation as it looks like a cluster issue.

Graham,

EMC is doing verification - but i have to supply them the deleted clip IDs, hence i

Here are the methods I have used for deleted clip Ids retrieval – Please let me know - what could be the problem. ? - Could you please write me few sample queries to get deleted clip ids.

I'm using JCASScript-win32-3.2.35  with j2sdk1.4.2_19

But already tried with Centera Tools 3.0.9 (c-list 2009.07.26-00:00:00 2009.07.28-00:00:00 -a 10.4.89.60 -o 200907_deleted -deleted_only) - No results.

Using CASScripts -

CASScript>po 10.4.89.60

Attempting to connect to: 10.4.89.60

Connected to: 10.4.89.60

CASPool Properties:

         Connection String:                 10.4.89.60
         Cluster Time:                      2009.07.28 10:06:46 GMT
         Buffer Size:                       16384
         Prefetch Buffer Size:              32768
         Connection Timeout:                120000
         Multi-Cluster Failover Enabled:    True
         Collision Avoidance Enabled:       False

CASScript>qslbg "2009.07.26 00:00:00"

Query Expression Properties:

        Start Time: 2009.07.26 00:00:00 GMT
        End Time  : UNBOUNDED
        Type      : EXISTING

CASScript>qsubg "2009.07.28 00:00:00"

Query Expression Properties:

        Start Time: 2009.07.26 00:00:00 GMT
        End Time  : 2009.07.28 00:00:00 GMT
        Type      : EXISTING

CASScript>qsd

Query Expression Properties:

        Start Time: 2009.07.26 00:00:00 GMT
        End Time  : 2009.07.28 00:00:00 GMT
        Type      : DELETED

CASScript>state

Active Pool: 10.4.89.60

Logging is stopped

Query Expression Properties:

        Start Time: 2009.07.26 00:00:00 GMT
        End Time  : 2009.07.28 00:00:00 GMT
        Type      : DELETED

LogState Properties:

        AppendMode  : False
        LogFilter   : ALL
        LogFormat   : TAB
LogLevel    : DEBUG
        LogPath     : Null
        MaxLogSize  : 1048576
        MaxOverflows: 1
        PollInterval: 5

CASScript>qtf 200907-1deletedfiles.txt 1000

I'm not getting deleted clip ids - but getting this error :

SDK Error Occurred:
Error Number: -10101
System Error: 10060
Error:        FP_SOCKET_ERR
Error Class:  Network Error
Trace:  FPStreamSocket.receive

There are the pool/profile from our environment

Pool - Profile
---------------
CLS - CLS
CLS - anonymous
default - anonymous
Console - Archive
imgplus - anonymous
imgplus - imgplus

Please write me sample query for deleted clip ids.

Thanks Indeed, Vasu

JCASScript uses the Centera API to communicate to the cluster i.e. it is like interactively using the SDK. If JCASScript is unable to perform the query to return the deleted clips then sample code will not be able to do so either.

What happens if you ask for BOTH types of clips - DLETED and EXISTING? If this is successful then you may be able to use that to identify the DELETED ones by comparing it to the output of the EXISTING query that is running successfully.

EMC Service should not need you to supply the list of deleted clips. They have tools that work directly on the cluster and you should be able to work with them to identify the relevant clips.

Graham,

It's a good logic to implement (differentiation between Existing & Deleted and Existing results).

Other than Deleted only clips retrieval, all remain options from CAS Script is working fine. So if you could send a sample code for deleted clips, that would be great.

Thanks for your time.

As I have already mentioned, if you cannot retrieve DELETED only clips using CAS Script then any code sample will also fail. CAS Script simply uses the Centera API calls in exactly the same way as a code sample would.
