Centera is totally unaware of what document type your content consists of. So a RAR is no different from a ZIP or a DOC - they are all just bit streams.
So if the file is not being single instanced then it must be different or fall under the criteria I explained in your previous post on the same subject.

You really don't need to "test" Single Instance Storage - this is a fundamental piece of the Centera value and has been successfuly used by customers for the past five years. All the cases where you say it is not working can be explained by coding errors or the cluster settings.
