changing the system time

What is the best way to change the system time on a CX 700. Is there any issues when doing so

On the array you can change the system time via Navisphere (properties on the SP). Also, you can change the time via NaviCli. Just set the time to your local time.

I have seen people script a .bat program in Windows to correct the time on the array (run it weekly). All you would do is write a script to set the time to 1AM via navicli, and at 1AM on say a Sunday have the script run.

You can do it online and AFAIK there's no issues with any of the software installed on the CX. I think the latest CX4's have NTP built in, so that's an improvement !

If the array is running release 26 at least patch 19 or later on the CX3 or CX700, you can go to File\Set up Domain and select NTP.

ps - navicli command is "setsptime" - check the CLI manual for the correct format
