Do we assign a RAID Type to Storage Pool ?

Question

Hi,

We just add a new DAE to our CLARiiON CX4-240 Storage Array.

Consultant has created a Storage Pool for us. I just find out RAID Type is set to RAID 5.

I would like to seek your advice that - Does Storage Pool likes the RAID Group - i.e. can only assign a specific RAID Type to it ?

correct, on CX it's limited to the same protection level.

Many thanks for your advice. I have read the document and my understanding is that a Storage Pool can only have one protection level - i.e. RAID 5 or RAID 6 or RAID 10.

Is this understanding correct ?
