LUN allocation
Hi,
I have a situation here.
i have a host connected to 2 clariion arrays - cx4 240 and cx 700
i have to assign 5 luns from each arrays to this host.
from cx4 i have assigned 5 luns and gave host ids 0-4.
how should i give the host ids from cx 700 ?
can i give host ids 0-4 from the second one as well?
if not why?
Thanks

No it won't. They will be new disk devices. If it's a Windows host, the first set of four LUNs will show up as disks 1-4 and the second set will be disks 5-8.

You can assign it with HLU 0-4 as well because it's a new target array.
