Write cache stays disabled

It happend two times that one of our clariion CX500 was powerd off at once (power failure in the building)

After the first time th power was on again the CX500 came up. Starts mirroring again en the write cache on de Storage proccesors was enabled again. Batteries where charge 100% again ( I hope) Leds where green on the back!

Short after that again a power failure and all repeats just like writen above.
But now the write cache state still disabled!
The last power failure happend about 3 hours ago.

Do I need to give it time? What can be the problem?

Can you see any errors on the CX500? Are both the SPS (battery) fully charged?

You may try to enable the write cache manually and see whether it comes back on.

It should not take that much long time - but something else might be preventing the write cache to be enabled automatically.

Check for any error or issue (you may check the SP event log as well), try manually enabling the write cache Or else, open a case with EMC support.

Thanks,
Sandip

To enable the Write cache. log into NAvisphere, right-click on the array icon, select Properties, go to the cache tab - there you will see three cache enable buttons - two for Read and one for Write - check the box. If there are no problems on the array, the box will stay checked, if there are issues, you will get an error message.
