I'm relatively new to Compellent and have been wonder a lot about measuring performance of my SAN's, particularly down to Volume performance. We have a few heavy hitters that I'd like to address as much as possible.

Is there a KC article on performance tuning or a how to or recommendations on SAN performance?

Currently have series 40's, a mix of FC and SAS disks (including SSDs). What i hope to accomplish is a better understanding of addressing the needs to IO intensive applications such as SQL.
