Will snapshot disabling affect auto tiering - Dell Compellent
Hello All,
Recently we see there is a shortage of free space in our storage array SC4020, so we have planned to disable the snapshots for all the volumes completely .Will this snapshot disabling will affect the auto tiering feature of dell compellent or any other impact due to this ? Could you please clarify us on this please.

No.... the system will took a hidden snapshot for the purpose of Auto-Tiering/Dataprogression. We have systems without the replay (snapshot) license and also in the beginning a lot of systems with no configurated snapshots.
