HI all,

How to capture the performance of the brocade switch 7500? will Supportshow/Supportsave command helps? If so.. how to save the output of those commands?

Any help would be really appreciated.

You can use the FREE Brocade tool "SAN Health". you can download it from their website.
Fill in all the switches and you'll end up with all information (like wwpn's, ip#'s, zones, to which port each wwpn's is connected etc) in spreadsheets as well as performance data over the time you specified while it was running (24 hours for example). It is realtime when it's running, but when the specified time is over you can't see anything about the performance anymore and you'll have to wait an hour of so until you can download the spreadsheet.

But it's a valuable start ! Try it !

In order to save the output of the supportshow/supportsave commands, the easiest thing to do would be to turn on logging for your ssh or telnet client and just save the log file. There is also the free SAN health utility from Brocade or the performance plugin tools for EFCM/DCFM/Connectrix Manager.
