Create first vsan on new 9506
Hello,
We just received a new 9506. This is the first time I have ever set one of these switches up from scratch. To start with - two SQL server boxes and two dmx ports will be connected. I created the new VSAN 100. I have not pluged the SQL host or DMX ports into the 9506 yet - cables should be pulled on Wednesday.
In Fabric Manager the VSAN 100 is showing as (down). I'm guessing this is because nothing is plugged in yet. I'm hoping to plug 4 cables in on Wednesday and create aliases, zones and zone sets. At that point hopefully I can activate the zoneset and the (down) will go away. Does this sound correct? Anything else I shoud be aware of when doing this initial config? At some point I will ISL this to another redundant 9506 switch.

Once you have zones in VSAN it will come up automatically.
This might help you.
