fabric change for solaris

i have a solaris 8 directly connect to a EMC CX600, and a solaris 10 connect to the same EMC Cx600 using brocade 3850.
now i will replace the switch with brocade 5100, i heard of that change from direct connect to switched fabric will cause device name change, is this true? how to avoid this? or if it really changed, how to keep my raw device and file system adapt to the change? thanks in advance!

We have never used direct connect, so I can't tell you for sure about the change to switched fabric, but I CAN tell you that we have never had problems with Solaris when we change the endpoints for SAN connections (i.e. changing the storage ports for an array). This definitely does cause problems for AIX, but not for Solaris (at least not in our configuration).
