3rd party Customer Support - scam?

I was trying to look up a Dell customer support phone # using google to help solve a technical issue, and saw Customer Support, Dell Products, with the following link and support #.

I called the #, and spoke to what I thought was Dell customer support,  who then had me log in twww.teamviewer.com application, where I shared access to my  new XPS 13 with this person.

He helped identify that there was malware on my system, but it occurred to me that perhaps he wasn't Dell support at all.   He wanted to turn me over to his boss who would help solve the problem, but at a fee.

I realize now, this was a third-party in India., and am not sure if this is a Scam operation, that I've allowed access to my computer, or if it's a legitimate business providing 3rd party support.

How concerned should I be in terms of breach of my user id/passwords and personal information on my laptop. I'm particularly concerned about my password infomraiton being accessed from my browser history.

Please let me know.

This is the link to the supposed customer support site:

Support for Dell - Customer support for dell laptop, desktop.

Ad · support-for-delloratechservices.com

Customer support for dell laptop, desktop. Facing problem call now

(855) 690‑5300
And the phone # on the linked page is :   1-800 - 419-2109
Thank you,
Eileen

This was not Dell. They certainly tried to look and sound like us. They tagged themselves in such a way that google picked up on the "Dell" tags. We do not have control over this. But I will forward their site to our Securities team. You should disconnect from your network. Remove ALL software that they told you to install. Restart the system when done. Then reconnect to your network and read this. You should install and run either the free version of Malwarebytes and/or the free version of SuperAntispyware. Also, I would change all the passwords.
