Alienware production times
I'm sure that this question is not just limited to the Alienware systems but are the production times really a month plus? I'm guessing due to parts shortages right now?
From the time I placed my order it took 16 days just to enter production and still shows a shipping date of almost a month after that.
I don't have a problem with waiting, I am just curious.

So almost exactly 2 hours after I posted this I got an email saying it shipped.
Coincidence?

Ordered r10 on march 17th with a shipping date of April 2nd. I contact order modification due to ryzen 9 being out of stock. Was able to create a new build with the R12 platform. New ETA April 28th

It is curious how they run the order update system. Maybe I am wrong but I assume it will not enter production until all the parts are secured. Yet my when laptop entered production about a week ago I got an email a few days ago and they delayed it for another week. I am very confused because I wasn't aware it could be delayed after it entered production but clearly the masterminds at dell have found a way. It wouldn't be so bad if they would just email us with a reason for the delay, what part they are short on or anything like that. Instead we get robot response emails with no information at all besides the fact the order is delayed.
