Aurora R12, replacement

So my story begins here I purchased a Dell Alienware laptop a year ago I received a laptop that was not working properly so a technician came and long story short the laptop had to be replaced, which Dell did a good job with. I proceeded to build my lovely Dell setup and purchased a monitor and Aurora R12. now a few weeks ago I received my Aurora R12 which I replaced with my old work desktop and boom straight out the box it was a piece of trash. the Aurora R12 does not work. so I contacted tech support and everyone I needed to and was told wait 3 days we will find a replacement 3 days later nothing, So I talked to Dell support again and was told wait 3 more days again. keep in mind I need this computer for work this is how I make MONEY! 7 days later now Dell support tell me hey we can’t replace you computer because we don’t have anything similar. so now I speak to many supervisors many reps constantly hung up on and dropped calls over and over. So Dell offers me a refund so i think sure why not but then here’s the bad part refund can only start once they get back the trash they sent me so 5-7 days and then refund processing 5-10 days and for me to research another computer and buy 1 day and 5-7 days for Dell to ship. Now that’s a big wait time and Dell has already wasted so much of my time! So I went on the Dell outlet and viewed some of the refurbished desktops and boom I clearly see computers that have similar configuration to my computer yet Dell is telling me they cannot replace my computer. I even offered to pay the price difference on the new unit that is how badly I want my product but nope Dell treats there loyal fan customer like trash. I am still struggling to have my computer replace! Someone help me!

My advice is to send back the computer you are not happy with and get a refund. If I read your story right, you still have a laptop, correct? Why not use that for work until you purchase another computer. I personally would not suggest another Alienware desktop. I own one and while it works (so far) there are much better options for the money. I am not throwing shade on Dell, they have really smart people working for them but they have made some questionable decisions regarding their Aurora R10/R11/R12 and now the R13/R14 desktops. The review videos and customer feedback confirms that. It also confirms they are operating inside an echo chamber because they have not listened to their customers and I have been dealing with Dell since 1996. They are still a great company but you can't take their Gaming Desktops seriously.

I would much rather have an HP Omen 45L with HP's patented Cryo-Chamber. They use 100% non proprietary parts including the computer case unlike Dell and the cost cost is roughly the same verses what you pay for an Alienware Aurora.

Thanks for the reply man!! I might have no choice but to just return this junk! And yes currently my Alienware laptop is how I’m getting some work done but it can only do so much and be stressed SO much! I’m just a bit let down with Dell but hey it is what it is. They need people to test these garbage PCs before they are shipped.
