Cannot access account

My account is connected to an old email address that I don't have access to any longer.  The FAQs say to contact Tech Support but I can't get through to Tech Support without a Service Tag.  And when I try and call the general sales number I can't talk to a person without an order number. Does anyone know if there are actually people working at Dell anymore and if so how do you get through to them to ask a simple question?  I've had Dell computers for over 30 years and I need another one but I'm seriously reconsidering Dell because I literally can't get through to anyone. I've been trying all day.

I received a email saying my post was moved to “improve my chances of a reply.”  Well that’s rich and pretty much gives me the answer I needed.  “Improve my chances of a reply?” Yet no one from Dell has contacted me to resolve my very simple issue that would have taken less than five minutes to correct? I tried all day up until 7:30pm without success; I tried calling multiple numbers, I tried multiple chat avenues, I posted here, I left my name and number on the “call me back” contact information form.  Ultimately I just went to a competitor.  Customer service is important to me and I’m no longer interest in products that have poor customer service.  I wound up buying a new laptop, 27” monitor, keyboard/mouse combo at a significant discount, all the while on live chat with a sales rep who was immediately available to answer all of my questions.  After 30+ plus years, goodbye Dell. May you rest in peace.

I was given three different phone numbers over the course of an hour. All are designed to NOT allow you to speak to a human. When I finally got to talk to someone by using an old auto attendant "trick"; I was told the email address can NOT be changed. I declare that as a non-answer. Well, UNLESS Dell has computer systems that are still running DOS! WAKE UP Dell, email addresses CHANGE! I really LIKE my new laptop BUT am very near returning it (after two days) ONLY because of the HORRIBLE Customer Service.

@cindylou362​ May I ask to brand you switched to.  I am about to jump ship too for the very same reason...ZERO Customer Service.

@JustCallMeHH​ That's pretty telling, too.  An email address data field can't be changed? Ridiculous.
