Changing screen name.
I know this has been asked before, but there was never an answer. In my case lynne4270 is misleading. When I chose that screen name my wife, Lynne had just passed away and I wanted to keep her name in front of me. That was almost 13 years ago so would like to change my screen name. I have looked all over the site, but can't find how to do it. Any advise would be appreciated.
Thank you
Wayne

Hi lynne4270,
I will be glad to help you. Request you to provide more information about the issue as asked below:
(1) Which screen name are you talking about? Are you talking about the initial login page/ Admin page screen?
(2) Which Operating system does the computer have?
Do reply with your answers so that I can assist you further.

The name I would like to change is the "lynne4270" that is the screen name I setup sometime back for customer care, Alienware Club, XPS Club. It is not my initial login or admin page. I am using Windows 7 64 bit on a Aurora R4.
Thank you for the reply

Hi Lynne4270,
It's fairly easy to change your Forum Username. The easiest is to click on the "Settings" button, to the right of your username. Then on the "Basic Options" tab, just type your new name in the "Name" box. (see below)
If you want a whole new account, you can send an email to: Community_Admin@dell.com to close your account, and then create a new account. You will have to notify the admin if you wish create a new account with the email currently being used.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks.
Regards,
Robert

Robert. Thank you for the reply. I followed the instructions and nothing has changed, unless it did in the last 1 minute. It says "Your profile has been changed. It may take up to 10 minutes for the change to take effect" I waited an hour, signed in and out a couple times, but it's still showing lynne4270?

I assume beings that you can't change the screen name by going the above route, I will just have to delete the account and start a new one.:emotion-40:

Lynne4270,
What would you like to change your display name to? I can edit it on the back end so you don't have to delete your account.
Thank you,
Stacy

Thank you very much Stacy. I would like it changed from Lynne4270 to Wayne3842. If you can do that without me deleting my account and starting over, I would appreciate that very much.
Thanks again.

Stacy. Thank you very much for doing the name change for me. You have done in a very short time what I have been trying to do for over a week.
Thanks again and have a great day!
