Contacted by a Scammer

I recently received a call from someone claiming to be from the Dell Global Financial Team claiming that my order was never paid for and that my credit card was never authorized for the purchase. This person had many details about my order and even sent me an email with invoices which contained my address, order number, customer number, the last 4 of my credit card, the exact PC I purchase, and more. This makes me think my info was leaked from within Dell.

I immediately called Dell back at their service number listed on their website. Two different Customer Service agents and one person within Dell's financial services department looked into my invoices and saw that my order had been paid for in full. I also looked up my own invoice and saw that the order was paid for. I see no possible way that the order could not be paid for when it was placed almost 7 months ago.

What worries me about this scam is that I just received an actual invoice in the mail from the same people. It came from Dell's US office zip code, lists one of their actual service numbers (18006249897) and an actual extension (4163299). It also lists an actual Dell email (nagabhushana@dellteam.com). The address is asks for me to send a check to is "Dell Catalog Sales LP, C/O Dell USA LP, Box 676032, 1200 East Campbell Rd, Ste 108, Richardson, TX 75081." I am afraid I am being scammed by someone who actually works for Dell; either that, or no one at Dell seems to know that I owe them money except for this one dude.

Anyway, I hope that Dell can fire this person and stop these shady things from happening by protecting my information better and not hiring scammers.

I have checked the message and see that you are upset about this situation. Protecting our customer's information/data is priority for us. I would like to check the order and the email as well. I therefore request you to share the order number, registered owner and email ID in a private message ( To send a private message, click on my name and select ‘Send private message ) along with the screenshot of the email you received. I will look into this for you.
