customer service / tech support
i cant even find where to ask for help. i always end up at the page for downloads of new updates and stuff. i just want to get into My Dell downloads. ive tried everything and every trick listed in the forums. but no luck, i press register system and that is pretty much the end of the story. stuck there. the thing is my service tag and system is already registered here on site. its shows it to me everytime i end up at the product support page. so finally after trying and trying i thought i would send in a request to tech support or whatever its called here. but cant find it. "am i really that dumb" (no need to answer, thats a hypothetical question)

Thanks for your post.
Unfortunately right now, the Drivers and Downloads page is undergoing some maintenance. It should be fixed by March 6-8.
Keep checking the menu on that page to find your system, it might work easier instead of registering.

Are you the original owner of the system? If not, the access to My Dell Downloads can only be assigned to one service tag, and the service tag has to be recognized by Dell. If you are the original owner, and the service tag is not recognized, then you will have to contact customer care and they will be able to assist you with the My Dell Downloads, and the service tag issue.

yes i am the original owner, but have been unable to get into My Dell Downloads.. and also (i must be dumb) havent seen where to send in a request for help. just bought the machine in december

thanks Robert!!! but i got to a tech agent last friday. come to find out, according to her, My Dell Downloads have been upgraded to SupportAssist.. tho options are limited with that, think im stuck with the new Dell Plan or whatever u wanna call it. i would prefer to get into My dell downloads, coz of course i feel like im missing out on something. :)
also there are no programs available in the SupportAssist, wondering if maybe the agent was wrong.
my machine is registered for warrenty and such, also my service tag and everything else
