D3218HN, defective pixels, warranty issue
Hello my Dell D3218HN started having bunch of bright and dark subpixels, totaling over 10 of them.
My step dad bought this monitor for me 2 years ago from Costco and when we bought it, it clearly said 3 year warranty but when I input SVC Tag, it claims warranty for my monitor have expired on June 2020.
I'm not really sure what my steps are at this point but I'll provide monitor showing pixel problems as well as Costco pictures stating that this monitor comes with 3 year warranty, according to Costco anyway.
First is the dead pixels. As you can clearly see there are more than ten bright + dark subpixels.
There are also multiple bright pixels on top of this that wasn't visible with the pictures I took but should be clearly visible when item arrives to your warehouse and you check it yourself. Even with just these two dark subpixels, I'm pretty sure that's already 9 or more combined. Also below are the Costco pictures showing that they advertised this product as 3 year warranty product.
Clearly shows 3 year warranty on Costco signs. Also below are the re-print of receipt (since we lost our original one) we got from Costco customer support. I'll be removing Costco membership numbers, my step dad's name, and last four digit of his credit card number for obvious reasons, but if legitimate Dell support contact me and requires uncensored picture, I'll happily provide them privately.
1191779 numbers on re-printed receipt matches the Costco pictures above. I hope I provided enough information and hopefully is approved of monitor replacement. I'd appreciate if you can send me a return shipping label because shipping these costs lot of money. If you require more pictures, please let me know and I'll respond to official Dell support. Thank you for reading.
