Dell Laptop Computor Complaint

Question

Rob P, I purchased a Dell Laptop Computor Aug. 7th, 2011 for my grandaughter for college. It is a 15.6', AMD Dual Core. Worked fine until November 10th, 2012, when the screen went out and had bliping areas across the screen. We took it in where they live, the computor tech said it was a 'Catastopic Mother Board' outage. So, then I called multiple times to Dell 800 number, someone with a foreign accent, sent to three different  depts., got cutoff, or hung up on, then called back the final time, which was 8 times, they were going to send me to their superior in the office, well 40 minutes later, no one EVER came to the phone. I was . One of the numerous complaints I made on one of the phone calls, they told me to pay $179.00 they would have it Fed-Exed to them, then IF it was the Motherboard, it would be a total of over $400.00! What? I emphatically told them no, and wanted to speak with a Supervisor. That was when I was put on hold forever! I cannot believe after 14 and one half months, a motherboard is going to go out, and I am not the only one. My grandaughter needs her computor for finals at college, etc. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH. Dell should send a new Motherboard, or this is the last time I buy a Dell, this is third I have bought, and my husband has purchased one in the past too! Thanks,  Sharon P.

Yes, and I haven't heard anything back from her, it could be she is still looking into it, she has all the info I put on the Forum.  Sharon P.
