Dell Tech Support Scam

Question

I have been getting calls from different 'Dell numbers' for about a year and a half now. These people have used an actual dell number that was posted on an official dell website and used several other numbers as well. The most recent call I got from them was yesterday and they called from a number that was listed as 'Partho Info Tech'. When they call they tell me my full name, email address, laptop name, model, and serial number to convince me that they are from Dell. I believe one of the scammers even mentioned my DOB. All of this began about two years ago after I sent  my defected laptop to be fixed under warranty. Ever since then I get calls from these people saying that they are receiving error messages from my Dell laptop, and they claim to be calling to fix it. I knew that it was a scam from day one because I naturally ask a million questions, but I am still affected by this. These people have my information.  I complained to the real Dell about it, but all they could do was have me fill out a a form on dell.com/reportphonescam.   With all of this done, I am still disappointed because I know that my information was taken from Dell somehow but they keep blaming me. They said that its my poor firewall that led scammers to gain access to my info, and that their technologies are too up to par to get hacked into. Meanwhile, I am fully convinced that Dell themselves were hacked and thus, my identity along with many others like me, is probably being tampered with.  I still love you Dell but your technologies have failed me.

Hello, I just got off the phone with one of these scammers, they had my alienware tag number somehow, even knew my name/phone number. They called from telling me my computer services were not working correctly. After that, they asked me if they could remote into with valid log-me-in that said Dell Support was asking to control my computer.

I realized it was a scam because they said they were scanning for connections with dir /s (seriously)
