E Gift Card Delay, Delay, Delay

Question

I ordered a tv that is supposed to come with a $300 egift card. It came with a 10 - 20 day waiting period. Fine. I waited about 10 days, attempted to contact Dell and reached someone with a THICK accent from India. Fine. I asked if there was any way they could put a rush on the gift card so I could purchase the item I needed, sooner rather than later. I didn't have much hope. However, I was told I would receive a call from her manager within a couple days. Fine. I waited a couple days, no reply, no attempt from anyone to contact me. Fine. I hunkered down, and I waited the full 20 days. I waited all day and received no egift card. I called customer support and they said they could not help me, but would send a message to some department who supposedly could help me. Fine. I as then instructed to please wait 2 more days for your gift card. We guarantee it will be there by then. Fine. I waited the 2 days. No egift card. I called customer support again. They said they will contact the team again and please wait an additional 5-7 days.  NOT FINE!!!!!! - I never truly expected the gift card early when I asked for it early. Going above and beyond is not what Dell is known for. - I halfway expected the gift card on time. Any reasonable company will under promise and over deliver. - I actually did expect the egift card late. If you fail to meet expectations, at least meet your next proposed timeline. This has become ridiculous, and I have nobody to talk to about how ridiculous it has become.  Sorry for the long winded post, but I would like to warn anyone researching Dell that if you are making your decision based on an egift card within any type of reasonable time frame, DON'T!

Fill this form out and ask them to send your card. This form will expedite your issue. You may also call 1-800-727-6000. Provide to them your Dell order number and explain that you have not received the card.
