Question

Purchased laptop this past March and new employee lost the login password. Spoke with eight customer service persons. The first person I spoke to explained we would need to purchase a 1 year warranty for 179.00 or purchase a 1 time service repair for 129.00. I commented that we are a long time customer and thought $129.00 was expensive for the fix. I then asked if there were any other options available to fix without cost. She directed me to the Dell website where I could do myself. Had trouble navigating so again called customer service with question....7 persons later and $129.00 we are fixing the problem exactly as the website directed but this time with a tech support. Long time Dell Customer going elsewhere...Bye Bye

Software support is not included in the warranty unless purchased as an extra.  You will find that with any OEM vendor.
