frustrated dealing with Comenity Bank
I joined this community because I am utterly frustrated dealing with Comenity Bank after a simple mistake. I enjoy me Dell equipment and had a payment plan with Dell Financial Services; at least I thought it was DFS. Turns out it was Comenity and quite frankly, I was guilty of not paying close enough attention to that change until I saw a payment made by my bank to a suspicious payee. It was Comenity and I started a dispute action with my local bank. The payment was immediately reversed. But I double-checked and I found that I had already paid two months of AutoPayments without objecting. So, it was my error. I called my local bank and cancelled my dispute and admitted it was my error. However, for two months now I cannot get Comenity to re-open the AutoPay arrangement. I paid a fee for the reversed payment, admitted my error but now I again have been told that there is no way of restoring my local banking account information that would allow me to utilize what Dell allowed me to do i.e. pay over time automatically. Then today, their Customer Care Rep told me they could reinstate my account if I get my local bank to provide a letter saying everything is OK. Previously, my local bank said they never denied any transaction except the one I disputed and since that was in error they never took any action to deny further processing of AutoPay payments. I could not get them to talk with each other and now Comenity has basically said they don't trust ME when I tell them everything is OK for processing the AutoPayments (there is only one payment remaining but I am concerned about future business with Dell and the fact that if they don't reinstate the account I will have trouble taking advantage of the AutoPayments over 6-12 months arrangement. Help me Dell!
