"In-Production" stage
Hello! I just feel really antsy of getting the Alienware 15 that I bought online and i'm just wondering how long it would take to be in production? I didn't ask for a customization if that helps and I live in Canada.

Hi aghhhhh,
Thanks for posting.
I apologize that your order is taking longer than you might have expected. Since Dell computers are custom built, the building process does not start until the customer places their order. The factory is located overseas, so the normal build time is 7 to 10 days, then add shipping time to that. That's for US orders, I would imagine Canada would be similar.
Let me know if you need additional assistance. Thanks.
Regards,
Robert

So the 5 delays and 2 weeks in 'in-production' is normal then? Even after being expedited TWICE, another delay? This a typical Dell thing, yeah?

It also depends on if parts are in stock to build the computer. Dell builds to order and doesn't keep systems sitting on a shelf somewhere. If a vendor is unable to meet the demands, then there would be a delay and a change in ship date. We can expedite the shipping, but the build time remains at 7 to 10 days depending on parts availability. It would take longer if parts are out of stock.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact me privately.
