Lost order

Question

I've ordered a laptop which had a clear 'next day delivery' mark on its ad. So the delivery was due on 21 Jan, but it's been lost somewhere between the factory and the carrier. All I get is a promise on an update. Meanwhile I can't cancel the order either, so I could buy it from somewhere else. They've got my payment and now don't care. What an awful customer service. Don't buy Dell!

Bear in mind the assembly facility is in China (notebook) or Mexico (desktop).  The 'next day' doesn't apply until after the system arrives in your home country.
