This is what I want to say to Michael Dell...

I have a problem with Dell UK. I bought a 2 Dell Latitude ST 128Gb tablets for myself and my husband which when they  arrived the date was wrong and kept reverting back to 2011, on one and the camera was not being picked up on the other one, so because they both had a warranty until 2016 I arranged for Dell UK to make the necessary repairs, however once that did this there was another problem which meant that they both needed a new motherboard, and to cut a very long story short both tablets had had about 5 or 6 repairs each and each repair left me with more problems, after they had been out the 7th time, they decided in their wisdom that as it had by this time had 7 repairs that never worked that they would refund me the money, and on their insistence that this would take place I bought a replacement tablet exactly the same. After I had waited a week or so they phoned me up to say that because I had not bought it directly from dell that they could only refund the money to the original purchaser. And that I was to send it back to the original purchaser for a refund and they would collect the goods from me. Needless to say the original purchaser was not up for this and refused. Meanwhile the 2nd tablet has itself developed a fault and as it also had a warranty until 2016 I had a repair on it under the warranty, this repair was on the camera as their was a mark on the inside of the screen. This tablet was repaired but failed to meet the standard I expected so I sold it. Meanwhile I am stuck with 2 of these tablets none of with work and to top it all they will not even run Microsoft office successfully without a problem in that you could type a complete word before the word showed up on the page. Now Dell are saying that they will pick up both the remaining tablets and take them to the repair shop and fix them. They keep the first one for almost a week and then send it back to me with the same problem that I originally has which was the date keep going back to 2011. The second one arrived back a week later and low and behold it too had the same date problem.  Now Dell are saying that I can finally have a refund to my account and I duly sit back for a week and then I get the phone call to ask for my bank details, which I give willingly as I am just so fed up by this stage as you can imagine. Two weeks go by and then I get the phone call saying that because I had not bought it directly from dell that they could only refund the money to the original purchaser. And that I was to send it back to the original purchaser for a refund and they would collect the goods from me. As I had already been through this before I could see what was going to happen next and sure enough I did not get the refund but they did say that if I give them another 300 pounds they would upgrade me to the XPS12. I in no uncertain term told them that they would NOT be getting any more money out of me, and that I would NEVER buy Dell products again. I have been a very loyal customer of Dell for over 12 years but now feel like they have kicked me in the teeth and therefore I will never buy or recommend Dell to anyone I care about in the future. I feel really let down over this but Dell I had the warranties transferred over into my name (with a struggle) and feel that Dell could have treated me a little better than they have over this. To promise a refund on not one but two occasions and then rescind this on both  is in my humble opinion disgraceful treatment of a loyal and longstanding customer. I don't suppose for one moment that this will get me anywhere but I felt so strongly about this that I just had to vent, and if it stops Dell treating anyone else this way in the future the I will had done some good.
