Order cancelled
Went to check the status of my order today and saw that the money for my laptop was deposit back into my bank account. I have not received any contact regarding the cancellation of my order and would like to know what happened.

Has your order been officially cancelled, or is it still stuck on 'confirmed'?
Six days after placing my order I noticed the same thing, but my order hadn't actually been cancelled, it was just stuck in stasis. I guess my credit card company does a sort of digital "handshake" where they don't finalize an order until they get a followup confirmation, which Dell is holding out on doing until they ship the laptop. Once it ships, I should be charged for real... though it will be quite some time before that happens given all the delays.
