Given the dozens of components that have to come together to build a system - and the shortages of CPUs, GPUs, and now the spike in demand for storage drives -- delays are the order of business these days.

If you need a system in a short period of time, order an in-stock system from a seller that has them ready to go.  That's not how Dell operates - it's build to order.  And you will likely have to settle for "close enough" to what you want, as you'll find the supply no greater at most sellers.

That's the thing though, I went though the entire order process including choosing my shipping option and it was telling me it would arrive on a specific date ~7 days (including the weekend) from the order date. I expected a potential small delay but no where during the during the process did it say anything about delays. Also this wasn't a custom build system. It was a 7090 Ultra. I didn't get any customize options. even today it says "Get it as soon as Thursday, Apr 29 with Express Delivery"

Customer service is nonexistent...Have tried talking to them 5 times in 2 days to find out that my order is being held up to verify my identity, which I done 3 times now
