Ready to Ship Date Incorrect

Question

Hi,I ordered the Alien ware m15 R6.The main reason why I purchased this, is because it was 'Ready to Ship'. I purchased it March 9th, and it is to be shipped March 10th. It is March 12th. This did not happen, I called CS and asked why it did not ship and they gave no reason. They said that a word would be sent to the manufacturing team. A day later, a prompt appeared in the order form saying' We are working on your order and it is still on track to meet the communicated delivery date.'However, my order does not say that it was shipped. It is March 12th now.I assumed that, 'ready to ship' means that the laptop is built. Is this correct?Can I pay for faster shipping? Or for it to be shipped sooner?My current computer does not work and I need this order to be fulfilled, for school purposes. And the longer this delay the more money it costs me... Can Dell compensate me for their inaccurate display of shipping info? An extended Dell warranty would be nice. Thanks Alien ware.

Bear in mind the initial shipping is from China -- "ready to ship" simply means it's not a custom system. It can still take a week or two to get the system from China to your country -- after which the "expedited" shipping clock starts running.

Thanks ejn63, silly of me take 'ready to ship' literally.I hope others do not make this mistake... A little tip.... to avoid confusion for the future, it would be best to find a more accurate phrase... Custom build & Standard build.From my personal experience people assume, a product that is 'ready to ship' is built and ready to be processed for shipment.I appreciate your explanation. Cheers.
