Refund problems

Question

I opened a service request for a laptop return on March 16 2022 (it's now April 5). I shipped the computer the same day and it arrived at Dell Canada on March 17. In spite of that, the service request status showed 'Awaiting return' up until yesterday. Now it shows 'Cancelled' and, of course, no refund! I've made repeated attempts to make sense of this with Dell with little success. The service reps agree the machine was returned on March 17 - but that doesn't help explain why the status is Cancelled or why there has been no refund. Any suggestions?
