Remote PC Installation
Hello - I recently took delivery of a Dell Pro 16 (PC16250) BTX Base. I live in the UK and my address is Toftwood, East Common, Harpenden, Herts AL5 1DD. <To protect you, your private information was removed from public view. All private data was saved to your private Case. DELL-Admin>
I ordered and paid for Remote PC Installation and - from memory because the cost element is not itemised in the order/invoice - it added around £75 to the total cost.
The Dell Pro 16 was delivered on 30/12/25. On 5/1/26 I was contacted by Dell (Kareem Benjamin, Project Manager, CSG Professional Services UKI EMEA) to start the process to schedule an appointment for the remote installation. I couldn't wait almost a week to have my new laptop up-and-running, and so had already done the installation myself.
I told Kareem that I would be cancelling the remote installation service and applying for a refund. He instructed me to write to Customer Care to make the request. He has in the meantime cancelled the installation service.
Waiting almost a week to start the process ie find a date for the installation support, is not helpful to those whose old laptop (a Dell btw, being a loyal customer over many years) has died. I would appreciate your help in arranging the refund.
