Even if they claim that it is subjected to availability of parts and so on.
BUT IT WAS CLEARLY stated the delivery date in the website right before you pay. That prompted me to buy. I felt so cheated, and want to bring it to the consumer association for such illegal business practice.
I actually tried other companies like Lenovo, they clearly state the number of weeks of delay.
I purchased this Alienware Monitor which is supposed to be delivered by today 8/2/2022. But as of now end of business day, I have not receive a call from the logistic Y3 Technologies. When I track the delivery, there is NO ETA. We tried calling Dell Support. Answer given was ANYTIME between now till end of business day 5pm.
I then checked Dell on Warranty Support. It states that it will expire on 7/2/2025.
Question: WHY is Dell kicking off the warranty period even before I receive the product ?
We have reviewed you order and found the order is delayed in production due to part shortage. Our manufacturing team is trying their best to procure the part at the earliest.
I apologize for the delay in order, and trust me this is not the kind of experience we want for our customers. I agree the order is taking longer than usual, and this doesn't happen very often. This kind of delays are very unexpected and not a very pleasant situation for our customers.
Currently, the order is estimated to be shipped out by March 4th. You can always track your order here:
The dates shared are estimates, the order will be delivered on or before the estimates shared. Should there be any changes, the link will be updated accordingly.
Additionally, I have reached out to our regional team to get an update on your order, and waiting for an update.
We will keep you posted as soon as we hear from them.
I have a similar issue with delivery, but it was the Sales Representative who told me to expect delivery in 1 week. The Sales Representative should have known that there would be a delay in shipping, but apparently wanted the commission so he lied...
Don't even believe the Sales Representatives when they tell you a delivery date.
@MyBilly you will get your PC whenever Dell gets around to it. Any expectations you might have garnered from "estimates" on the Dell site, conversations over the phone, posts from the "DELL-Cares" team or even a DM from an "agent", it's all nonsense.
Oh yeah they literally told me to reordered the more expensive one and they would put me in front of the line. It was delayed again. They told me the dates on the website are inaccurate and accurate at the same time and laughed about it. I record everything.

This is the reply I got from Dell
"We do understand your concern. We would like to inform you that the warranty always starts from the day the order is invoiced.
We at Dell charge our customers at the order the order is shipped.
Regards,
Shaik Sufyan"
This is what I meant by unfair business practice. CUSTOMER HAVENT EVEN SEEN OR UNBOX THE PACKAGE!

This is what they do. The website should be reported. It's really shady and probably illegal too.

It's a bad practice to mislead your customers.

I am currently at day 55 and still waiting...

I have been following your post.
That is so "emotional and pocket damage".
I believe you should get his reporting manager, and the reporting manager's manager.
